CMS Restoration sent their water mitigation crew to inspect a kitchen leak and see how far it went. We found the source was from a split in a connecting corner splitter. The damage had occurred in the kitchen and leaked into the basement. Thankfully, the basement was unfinished, and the only thing that had gotten wet was the exercise equipment.

Downstairs, we dried the affected exercise equipment with rags; the rest of the basement did not need drying. In the kitchen, we had to remove the countertop and cabinets to access the wet flooring underneath. We demolished the sheet vinyl flooring once we removed the countertop and cabinet. With the flooring out, we set our equipment to dry the subfloor and the wet drywall that had been affected.

A couple of days later, the job was dried out, and we could take our equipment out and leave. We turned it over to our rebuilding side to start putting it back together. Sometimes, we get small jobs such as this one, and other times, we get huge ones. We go with the flow and take each job one at a time.
